Radiant Floor Heating Which Is A Better Heating System For A New Home - Forced Air, Hot Water Baseboard, Or In-floor Radiant?

Which is a better heating system for a new home - Forced Air, Hot Water Baseboard, or In-floor Radiant? - radiant floor heating

I think the air is forced to the worst for allergies. Hot on the water is good, but expensive to install. And the light is more expensive to install, and there is a problem so you have to break the basic correction. We also want to set real wood floors, and those that are not compatible with in-floor heating.

I am compelled to incline to either air or hot water on the motherboard.

Which is better?

Is correctly installed, you should have no problems with the radiant heating system, and if so, should be under warranty.

Forced air gives you the option of the future for central air conditioning. Outreach house built before 2 years and put hot water baseboard. It is a short walk to a room and less noicy forced air heat exchanger.

Another question is how Planon your hot water? We have a so-called "super store" who thinks constantly about 50 liters of warm water. The water is heated by our bakery. Almost never or use our baseboard because we have and use a wood stove. Are you ready to be heated with a wood stove? Or a pellet stove? This may be the most intensive form of heating fine house.

Good luck.

Radiant is the best if you can afford.
Radiant heated objects such as walls, concrete ..... The hot air is forced air.

Something to consider ..........
Take a look at the cost of a radiant system in more than one system or C (if necessary force) against the heating ducts, in air and only need a cooling coil.

The cost of the hot air with A / C: installed in the run will be much less expensive than heating ducts with a C /. You can have the builder install an air purifier, and if you go to the extreme, the HEPA filtration system that would greatly affect dust, pollen, etc.

** How to deal with a company of good reputation, if you decide to go the way HEPA. Choice of engine and products is extremely critical!

Good luck!

If you can afford it then you get $ (Radiant 14) per square foot.
I have terrible allergies, and what works well for me it has the baseboard heat and central air conditioning.
Central air keeps the house dry summer, the socket is heated without tools, dust, etc. ..

What do you all the inherent problems? A gas plant iron rads W. Kessel lasts 50 years and can convert all types of natural gas are exhausted.

On the economic point of view of an air circulation is hard to beat. And the inclusion of air conditioning is easier with a circulating air. The thermal energy systems are prone to leaks and freezing. The quality of indoor air can be helped to install the UV light, HEPA filters, and humidification. Allergies are difficult to deal with a system. Whenever you open an outer door, call ahead to calls irritating. A positive pressure would be, but it is expensive and impractical. Sometimes the best things in life are the simple things. So - forced air wins!

If you have allergies and pets, then leave the heating system forced air. Go with the central water baseboard. The new oil-burner has a very high efficiency and can through a wall with a mechanical ventilation system cut. I recently completed a good for a customer, and hopes spectacular.
Good luck with your decision.

I build a house, and I am installing radiant heating (you know, the hot water lines in the type of soil) in a wooden floor, but can just as easily be installed on a concrete surface. The tube is radiant heating in the soil between the strips up to the mark (esentially spacers), which can lead to ground level and allow the installation of pipes for heating by radiation between the bands of fur. Be careful when installing the hardwood floor, so no spike in a pipe.

The show "This Old House" has several consequences, which had
two pipes were installed radiant heat and a wood floor over a surface with concrete.

Make-up strips are attached to a sub-concrete floor with concrete anchors. These anchors like a nail, but moderate, and in concrete with a controller that uses the 22-caliber blanks embedded. Sears has this driver and the 22 rooms. You must register for Home Depot and Lowe's, going into the concrete.

Another consideration is to buy an air filter to reduce dto specific allergens in the air in the room.
